Flight1354 comments
A couple of comments following an article on the crash.
Where have I heard corporate greed before?
Where have I heard corporate greed before?
So many folks purchase goods online now and depend on UPS for timely delivery. I am just wondering how much pressure is applied on the entire delivery process including UPS pilots that may contribute to the stress and fatigue these pilots experience.
It is sounding like the tragedy of UPS 1354 was the result of unequal rest and flying rules and likely corporate greed.
Whatever rest periods are required for passenger airline pilots should be required for cargo pilots and private pilots as well.
UPS flight 1354 v. VOSA
A quote from an earlier post.
This would be the same UPS that continues to allow drivers to infringe the working time agreement. I was talking to a good friend yesterday, I could say who & where but having upset one driver because he thought I was trying to drop him in it, I'd better not say. Re. the other driver, he missed the point that I was making about UPS drivers having to cut corners. He had complained to me about his work load, complained to his colleagues about his workload and also complained to his customers. This from an employee with a vast amount of service and like me has been described as having brown blood.
Anyway, back to yesterdays driver. He started work at 7.45. I spoke to him at 14.05, (i.e. in excess of 6 hours) and he hadn't taken a break. He stated that nothing would be said to him as his DIAD would show that he started driving at 8.35. I bet he'd be upset if UPS paid him 50 minutes short every day.
Just because they operate within the regulations, doesn't necessarily make it right. If drivers and/or pilots are fatigued then they shouldn't be driving/flying.
The UPS spokesman said "we strongly object to any assertions that UPS crew scheduling was not compliant with FAA rules or was a factor in this accident." He said the crew's schedule also was in line with the agency's impending regulations on pilot rest.Is this the same UPS that claims to be compliant with rules and regulations in the UK? I have shown the vast number of infringements within the UK, what is to say that UPS don't infringe the FAA rules in the same manner?

I have been working at UPS part-time for more than 5 years
Pros – Benefits including paid vacations, holidays, and sick days. Schedule is set in stone pretty much, Mondays - Friday, time is based on the shift you work
Cons – Terrible management skill, majority of them have no idea how the basic operations work and just yell at people. No people skills
Advice to Senior Management – Learn how the operations work and don't be afraid to get your hands dirty
Yes, I would recommend this company to a friend

And a few other others
Someone is looking at a lot of the older evidence that is posted on here.
UPS ? Can't think of anyone else who might want to go back to 2012.
Trying to work out if the Centre Board info (here) was "creative"? You had some hard copies at my grievance meeting, not that it could be classed as a proper, professionally handled meeting. Cowboy Manager springs to mind. Must look up who took it, as I can't think who it was just now. I was thinking it was Mays but that was the equally cowboy investigation that was supposed to be a follow-up.
The evidence is all genuine. From genuine UPS reports.
The only thing that you probably don't have, are the maps that were generated from the DIAD data. I forget what the system was, but it plotted every centres deliveries, by DIAD. If you found a centre board had been on road somewhere you could investigate and show the deliveries plotted on a map. I'm sure that you've seen them on here. I can post some more if you want. I'm interested in how you are going to explain how a centre board can make deliveries miles away from the centre. Sometimes there's even 2 boards on road at the same time from the same centre. Dublin even had 4 centre boards, and that unsurprisingly links back to Sheffield...........and we know who worked there, don't we?
This is the same GPS data that proves the fraud on timed deliveries.
The tachograph data (here) is again from genuine UPS & tachomaster reports, there are no holes in it as I am sure that you well know.
The posts are being read mainly in the States. I've already proved Mahwah is involved.
Just ask, you can have whatever copies you want.
Just remember those Casey quotes.

A recent read
Interesting that someone has been reading a post about Lisa Bradshaw and some e-mails that I sent to her regarding my training records. Details Here
Having denied that any records existed, other than the paltry few that were stashed at UPS House, wouldn't it be strange if they miraculously appeared as evidence in court.
A little reminder that the only records that UPS could find were those relating to Compliance training. The only thing that UPS can show, is the one thing that they will be trying to hide.
Fraud, lack of Compliance, bullying etc.

Pleb, definition
Having called Davis a pleb, I thought I should have a gander at the real definition.
It's not actually as bad as I thought.
The Meaning of PLEB |
PLEB means "Commoner, inferior person" Davis has inferior standards, so pleb must be OK. I must do better :-) |
Corvera again
More news on Murcia today regarding Corvera airport.
Didn't some wise sage mention the lack of a year on the last update.
There's a bit more here as well.

I wonder who this could be?
& I knew who had offices in Mahwah, though I was expecting it to be Atlanta :-)
