UPS & the Union

It's been a strange and frustrating couple of months.

The Union 'lost' my application and therefore wasted 5 months of my time. I do have another Solicitor sorted now so we're rocking and rolling.

The Union convenor is a UPS employee. It would appear that his information & advice may be swayed by his employers.

Losing my paperwork means that I can't use the Union because I haven't been a paid up member for 3 months. Not only that, it's my fault that he's lost the paperwork. Work that one out.

His advice to Nigel was to accept his job back, when the Company offered it at his appeal. Rather cunningly this means that Nigel cannot now claim unfair dismissal. Whilst that may be to the letter of the law, how ethical is that? The Company also knew that he was already employed elsewhere, so even IF he had wanted his job back, he couldn't take it

What did Scott Davis say? we operate to the highest ethics. Redefines the word highest.
