Cindy Miller Promoted

Just to prove dishonesty pays

UPS has appointed George Willis as the new managing director for UPS U.K., Ireland and the Nordics.
Willis, a 29-year UPS veteran, succeeds Cindy Miller, who was recently appointed as president of UPS Europe, the Middle East and Africa. In his new role, Willis will be responsible for operations, business development and strategy in the U.K., Ireland and the Nordic countries of Sweden, Denmark, Finland, Norway and Iceland.
Willis began his career with UPS in 1984 as a package handler in the U.S. Georgia district. He was promoted to hub manager in 1992 and was named as manager in 1999. In 2001, he relocated to Colorado as division manager in hub and package operations in the Rocky Mountain district. In 2004, he was promoted to East Carolina district manager and was named South California district manager in 2006. In January 2012, he became the U.S. operations manager.

Willis has worked at the company for 29 years, beginning his career there as a package handler and working his way to US operations manager in 2012.
