Glassdoor update

Your manager's managers have managers ”

Current Employee - Administrative Assistant in Atlanta, GA
I have been working at UPS full-time for more than 10 years
Pros
Retirement Benefits
Flexible Schedule
Community service involvement (if department allows administrative staff to volunteer)
Cons
Too top heavy (too many management employees)
Micro-management
Retaliation against administrative staff
No training and career development in most departments
Heavy workloads for inadequate pay
Several understaffed departments
Administrative staff forced to train supervisors
Advice to Management
Train new supervisors and managers on at least the basics within a new department. Stop the sink or swim mentality. It slows the productivity of the administrative staff and they already have extreme workloads. Actually promote from within and place knowledgeable people in the appropriate positions. Develop and implement career development. UPS has lost countless excellent employees due to negativity and unfair practices. Get it together.

UNDER PAID SLAVES ”

Current Employee - Part Time Operations Supervisor in Chicago, IL

I have been working at UPS part-time for more than 3 years
Pros
The benefits are great and also the pay rate of being a PT Supervisor
Cons
The uncontrollable weather conditions. Crazy Managers with horrible people skills.
Advice to Management
Learn to recognize and appreciate your employees.
