Everyone blames everyone else

Something I submitted for one of our weekly meetings, it followed a message from our great and glorious, and was passed down to the minions.

Avoidable accidents were on the increase.


Safety;
Following Jim's comments on Wednesday on a lack of a safety culture,
Our Management do not practice what they preach.

I cannot maintain a safety culture because of the pressures that are imposed upon me by my immediate Managers, who in turn blame their Managers for the pressures that are also placed upon them. If the message from the top is safety and the message from the bottom (drivers) is safety, who in the middle is forcing our hands?.............. Discuss

Drivers want to be safe, but their Centre Managers push them into cutting corners.
Steve O'Donnell blamed Rob Burrows for the targets that were being set, Rob Burrows would have blamed......etc, etc, etc but where would it stop?
Was it just a smokescreen from Jim?
