Before I broke my hip I had a bonfire.
It was a very satisfying bonfire.
I had cut back some very dense overgrown ivy over the previous few weeks and was going to dice it up and bag it, so that I could take it to the tip.
It had dried very nicely and was tinder dry, so it only took one match for the whole lot to ignite.
We had so much stuff in the garden I kept it burning for quite some time. It was only when Mandy came home from work and asked if I'd burned my old uniform, I remembered that I was going to make a guy. I'd completely forgotten about it.
At this point it was far too late to start making a guy so I had to let the fire burn down.
It left me very disappointed.
