Fray Bentos

Yes!!!, Uruguay

Welcome

A few bits on Uruguay.

The etymology of the Uruguay River, coming from the Guaraní language, is uncertain, but the official meaning is "river of painted birds".

An estimated 88% of the population is of European descent. With an area of approximately 176,000 square kilometres (68,000 sq mi), Uruguay is the second-smallest nation in South America by area, after Suriname.

The only documented inhabitants of Uruguay before European colonization of the area were the Charrúa, a small tribe driven south by the Guaraní of Paraguay.

I'm amazed its the 2nd smallest country in Aouth America
