UPS are now telling their drivers not to pre-trip their vehicles.
My guess is that it is an attempt to get them out of the warehouse quickly to increase "on road" time and therefore increase productivity.
UPS drivers have 16 minutes AM time, in which to complete various activities, one of which is the pre-trip.
This involves a thorough check of the vehicle and should take around 3 minutes, If I remember correctly.
You should approach the vehicle checking underneath for and leaks. You should check tyres, lights, indicators, washers, wash reservoir, pedal travel, steering, horn, mirrors etc. etc. etc.
Now its not important
