At this point, the timecards for drivers without tachographs were not being keyed into Tachomaster. This hides the infringements that I had reported to UPS 2 years earlier.
To try and cover up the number of infringements the paperwork for approximately 3 months was destroyed by Steve O'Donnell. After several storys about other people losing the paperwork, Steve said that he had destroyed the paperwork on the authority and approval of Matt Gale, Safety Department. It didn't surprise me when matt Gale denied this version of events. (Did I say VOSA & HSE weren't interested? I did. I wonder why they weren't?)
The report shows potential roadside fines that could have been applied if a driver had been stopped whilst out on road. Why would a VOSA official fine a driver on road, yet VOSA not be interested in the level of infringements and potential moneymaking fines that could have been levied. Aren't VOSA supposed to keep our roads safe?
Insufficient breaks shows on the tachmaster report, for drivers regulated by Tachograph laws. So, even if you doubt my honesty, it would be fair to say that insufficient breaks would be occurring with unregulated drivers. What do you think might cause drivers to work through their breaks? Being bullied into taking out excessive loads?
Of course, it's all out of date now, so it doesn't matter.
I wonder why there wasn't much change over the year?
