Tachograph Infringements
At a time when I acheived a 48% reduction in tachograph and working time infringements at Dewsbury. These were the UPS achievements. Bear in mind also, that at Dewsbury we were keying all the hours that drivers on tachographs worked, not just the hours shown on the chart. We were also keying manual timecards into Tachomaster for all drivers who weren't using tachographs. This means that we were registering a higher than normal level of infringements than must centres in the UK. At the time these reports were published, we had already reduced our infringements. As I understood it from the Safety department, we were the only centre that was correctly keying all the information.
Not much change in the figures, is there? I wonder why that could be?
As I said, bear in mind that these will not include any working time infringements.
These reports would have been generated by Tachomaster, and Dewsbury was the only centre keying non tacho drivers into the system.
3,000 infringements and VOSA and the HSE aren't interested. I wonder why?
