Can anything be done to tackle employee lies?
Trust at work seems to be a much-discussed topic at the moment – whether it is trust in leaders, managers, or in an organisation’s brand. But one news story this week touched on a more basic form of trust – whether you can trust your employees not to tell you outright lies.

I think step one has to be to do what Ghandi suggested and “Be the change you want to see in the world”. If you want your employees to stop lying to you, stop lying to them. I have literally lost count of the number of times I’ve heard a statement from senior managers of a company followed a little later by a totally opposite statement.
